The Boy on the bus

Early today morning, I woke up to get the girl ready for school. Since I have to make sure this is done in stealth mode to not wake up the boy, I grabbed my phone some clothes and went out of the bedroom to get breakfast and tiffin started.
Came back in some time to woke up the girl and set her into motion … brush, eat, bath….somewhere in the middle of all that early morning dance, I put on my shorts and T-shirt to take her out to the bus stop and then I noticed the big huge pimple staring right back at me, bang in the middle of my forehead like a 3D bindi.
Aww, Crap! I think and then shuffle off to the door with the kid and her bag.

I love the time we spend time chatting before the bus comes. The topics vary from cloud design to why do earthworm skin have to be wet for them to breath. So we were chatting and I heard the boy crying inside the house for me to get back in.. Ah, Crap! why did he wake up this early? Not the best start of a day….

Just then her bus rolls in and then I see him. This boy who sits on the front seat – maybe every single day, who I have honestly never noticed till now.
He had his eye wide open with a big O on his lips and looking at me, pointing at my T-shirt excitedly bouncing up and down his seat.
Oh Crap! I look down, did I wear my T-shirt inside out? No.
So why was this kid so excited. He said, “Your T-shirt is the best!!!!” as the bus started to move again. I burst out laughing, “Ahhhh You like Suppandi?, You read Tinkle?” Me too kid, me too.
You should have seen the smile on this kids face. I could see his head bobbing up and down in such excitement as the bus turned the corner.

He gave me the feeling I made his day, But really he made mine.
